Located in the heart of Alaska’s Matanuska Valley, you will have the opportunity to fly Alaska’s great lakes while maintaining access to the Valley’s best resources. Lodging, restaurants and local culture are all close by! With a DPE on staff and dedicated instructors 7 days a week, floatplane training with Blue River Aviation is made easy. Each float rating package includes up to four hours of ground instruction and eight hours of dual flight instruction in our 160hp PA-18 on Aerocet 2200 floats. Available as soon as the ice melts: mid-May through September.
