We Believe Everyone should have their head in the clouds.

Blue River Aviation’s founder, Jamie Hastings, began flight instructing in 2009 while working as a pilot for Peninsula Airways. After a decade of flight instruction, he decided to pursue his flight school full-time and bring on a number of other instructors. Thus, Blue River Aviation was born.

Our flight school focuses on professional aviation training, preparing students for everything from airline careers to off-airport in Alaska’s vast backcountry. We take pilots from zero hours to commercial multi-engine and CFI. In addition, we provide tailwheel, seaplane, and ski instruction.
